For Sanskriti Silks, we created a series of fashion stills that placed traditional sarees within a carefully constructed, nature-inspired setting. The set, flowing fabrics and styling came together to create an elegant world that complemented the colours, textures and craftsmanship of each saree.

Project Description

Research

We explored Indian fashion imagery, textile photography and nature-inspired visual references to understand how traditional sarees could be presented in a fresh, contemporary way. We looked at natural textures, colour relationships and spatial compositions that could inform the set design.

Experiment

We experimented with the set, draping, fabric movement, poses and placement of the models to make the constructed environment feel organic. Different compositions and backdrops were tested to see how the setting could interact with each saree without taking attention away from the garment.

Refinement

We refined the set and compositions around the colours and silhouettes of the sarees, carefully balancing the greenery, backdrop and styling. The final images were designed to feel like a natural environment while being entirely created for the shoot.
