Project Description
For Juicy Chemistry we created a series of beauty portraits that explored different faces, expressions and personalities. The imagery kept the focus on natural beauty and individuality, using close-up compositions to let each subject bring a distinct character to the frame.
Research
We explored contemporary beauty editorials and portrait photography, looking at how lighting, expressions, framing and skin tones could create a clean yet expressive beauty language. The focus was on making the portraits feel modern and human rather than overly polished.
Experiment
We experimented with different expressions, gestures, angles and levels of magnification. From direct gazes and playful expressions to quieter, more composed moments, the variations allowed each face and personality to create a different mood.
Refinement
We refined the series around the strongest expressions and most flattering compositions, keeping the framing close and the visual treatment consistent. The final selection created a cohesive beauty story while allowing the individuality of each model to remain visible.
